Who we are…
Hillside Church is an exciting, Bible–based, multi–generational & multi–cultural church. We are a growing congregation with a desire to minister to people from any background and from all walks of life. Our prayer is that everyone who walks through our doors feels loved and accepted. We strive to serve our community and lead people in a growing relationship with Jesus. At Hillside we love God, love people, and pass it on.
What we believe…
About the Scriptures
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.
About God
We believe there is only One True God who exists in three distinct persons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).
About Jesus
We believe that Jesus is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of the world. He lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute. This accomplished salvation for all who receive grace by trusting in Him alone. He rose from the dead and is the only mediator between us and God.
About the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ and equips believers for personal growth. In a distinguishable experience from salvation called the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, the believer receives power to be a witness in their life and service to God.
About Mankind
We believe that mankind was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but they defied God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, we need God's saving grace to end our alienation from Him. Salvation comes only through God's saving grace—not human effort—and must be received personally by repentance and faith.
About the Church
We believe the Church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe "the Church" is the Body of Christ and consists of people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.
